1955-57 Chevy Tri-Five - Retrofit tilt column shift

Add the convenience of a column shift to your  legendary 1955-57 Chevy! Available with 8-position tilt or space-saving straight. This column comes complete with a neutral safety switch, as well as everything you'll need to use your original dash indicator (aftermarket shift indicator sold separately). The shift pattern on the column allows you to use either a 3 or 4-speed automatic transmission (except early Powerglides, as they have a reverse pattern transmission). A solid shift linkage (new or original) is required for installation and will attach to the lower shift arm provided on the column. Warning: The 1957 Tilt Column Shift column will move the steering wheel 2" closer to your body compared to the original. To alleviate this issue use the available straight 1957 column shift or a "Shorty" 9 bolt adaptor with an aftermarket wheel. * Please Note: a Cable Shift Linkage Kit is NOT recommended for use with Tri-Fives.

A great additition when converting to a RetroRack rack and pinion Kit. Available in Paintable Steel, Chrome, and Black Powder Coated finishes. A billet ball mount kit is a great addition to this column, this can be used for a flat fire wall conversion. Giving a great show car finish inside the engine bay, this can also be used when converting from left hand to right drive.
